Inspire and Spark Youth Mentorship Programs

Melfort Arts Council offers two dynamic mentorship programs—Inspire and Spark—designed to engage individuals under 29 in the arts community. These initiatives aim to develop the next generation of arts presenters in Saskatchewan by involving youth as gallery visitors, participants, and decision-makers.

Inspire Program

The Inspire program focuses on visual arts, encouraging young individuals to become Inspire Coordinators. In this role, they collaborate with local Arts Council Visual Arts Coordinators to plan and implement community programming. Supported by the Visual & Media Arts Program Grant, activities may include workshops, artist talks, exhibitions, adjudications, and art retreats

Spark Program

Spark is dedicated to the performing arts, guiding youth to become Spark Coordinators. They work alongside Arts Council Performing Arts Coordinators to present live performances in their communities. The program emphasizes mentorship, allowing coordinators to lead projects with the support and guidance of experienced mentors.
